Choosing Kirkland Children’s School in Bellevue for Your Toddler’s Education

A strong foundation in early childhood education encourages success in later years. The Toddler program at Kirkland Children's School harnesses the natural energy of toddlers, fostering their unique cognitive, emotional, and social development. Our school curriculum particularly focuses on several areas of toddler development:

Language Development in Toddlers

Essential for future academic achievement, toddlers enhance their ability to communicate and express themselves during interactive storytelling, songs, and daily conversations.

Math for Toddlers

Early introduction to mathematical concepts is key in our program. Building problem-solving ability, we introduce math skills with engaging activities like sorting, matching, and recognizing shapes and sizes.

Science for Toddlers

Toddlers are natural scientists. Teaching basic scientific concepts, our curriculum includes hands-on science activities that encourage exploration and experimentation, nurturing innate curiosity of the world.

Creative Learning for Toddlers

Creations may promote self-expression and confidence. We foster creativity early by including projects that are developed to hone fine motor skills and understand concepts such as color and texture.

Toddler Learning Experiences

Every child learns differently. The Toddler program at Kirkland Children’s School provides individualized learning experiences to accommodate each pace, interest and ability. For toddlers to build confidence, develop social skills, and enjoy meaningful learning experiences, our job is to nurture support in the environment.

Cognitive Development in Toddlers

Engaging activities throughout the school day at Kirkland Children’s School may encourage critical thinking and problem-solving.

Social Skill Development for Toddlers

We emphasize social-emotional learning through the Kimochis program, inspired by Gottman’s Emotion Coaching. Toddlers are exposed to empathy, cooperation, and self-regulation to navigate success in school and life.
